A small sublimation set-up is simple and requires very little investment. Depending on the size of product you want to produce, a sublimation small format set up should be sufficient.
Sublimation is a printing procedure for transferring full colour graphics or photographs on to a wide selection of products. These products need to be either made from polyester or feature a polyester coating. Sublimation inks set in to the fabric, almost like a tattoo. A sublimation print cannot be felt on the surface of the garment.
Import your design into design software.
Using a sublimation printer, print your design onto sublimation paper.
Using a heat press, apply the printed transfer to the product.
The process is complete.
A printing business can be set-up in a range of locations in and around the home, from a spare bedroom to a garden shed.
This may sound like a strange concept but potentially there is serious money to be made from working in the comfort of your own home.
Say goodbye to sitting in traffic and endless travelling time and hello to ’working from home’.
